Welcome to Your New Home
Rebekah is now a week old and doing well. She had her one week checkup yesterday and has gained 3.5 oz. She’s starting to stay awake longer and opening her eyes to look around. She’s doing a good job of sleeping through the noisy siblings and the barking dog, which is nice for us. Still trying to get the neighbor kids to stop ringing the door bell when the come over.
Bethany and Christopher have adapted to their roles as big sister and big brother very well. Strangely, it seems to be Christopher who is more interested in helping mom out. He wants to hold his little sister and help feed her. Bethany tends to grow tired of holding her much more rapidly. Guess holding her is too much of an imposition on her playtime.
Karin is doing well. She had her staples removed on Monday and feels much better now. Doctor says that she is healing well. And she has a lot more energy now. Even had enough energy to clean off the kitchen island that had turned into a dumping ground for everything.
