A Fall of Fun Television

Lately I’ve been sitting down at night to watch TV and not finding anything on. Most of the shows that I really enjoy are in reruns at the moment. The only show I really watch on a regular basis right now is Survivor. Most of the other shows I catch when my wife sits down to watch them on the DVR.

But starting next week, a few more of my favorite shows are back.

Amazing Race 12 starts a week from Sunday with 11 new teams. As my favorite reality show ever, I’m really stoked about it coming back. If you really want to know what I think of the show, check out Capt Cosmic’s Amazing Race Site where I post all my thoughts, opinions, and rampant speculation about what is going to happen.

The other show coming back next week is MythBusters. There is nothing quite like watching two grown men figure out how to bust myths like, can you clean solid concrete out of a cement truck with a stick of dynamite. Next week, can you catch a car on fire by lighting the leaking gasoline coming from it. If you’ve never seen it, you have to check it out. They always do their best to give you an explosion of some kind.

BTW, that cement truck? It was conclusively determined that 600 pounds of high explosives will remove the concrete from the inside of the truck. And the body of the truck from the frame. And the frame from the engine block. In fact, it takes care of all the dried on gunk that might be attached to your truck. In case you were wondering. Check out the video.

Myth Busters is an great show! I’ve seen it many times. I don’t have much time for TV, John you will understand this when the children get older. There is always to do, a place to go or homework to be done. Be grateful that your parents are there to help. Ash is in cheer leading, and K-Kids, and Sam is involved in the astronomy club, chess, and no sports. He reminds me so much of Uncle John and my brother. Loves his laptop! Enjoy these moments now. Your pictures are great! Tell all hello!

I’ve had plenty of experience with not getting TV time. Both kids are always wanting to watch “their shows”. Doesn’t leave much time for Daddy to watch his shows. Only after they’ve gone to bed. And even then, I have to share with Karin.
