Visiting the GrandKids: Point Defiance Zoo
As their vacation started to come to a close, we had one last outing planned for GrandMom and GrandDad. A trip to one of the kids favorite places: Point Defiance Zoo. We loaded up into the car and drove over Friday morning. The kids had an opportunity to show off their favorite animals and share some ice cream.
Then it was time to head home. Or rather, try to go home. We made it about 3/4’s of the way home before we got sidetracked on a trip to Big Lots. GrandMom and GrandDad had decided to buy us a new couch for Christmas. And since they were here, they wanted to make it an early present. So, we checked out the furniture at Big Lots and found a couch we liked, but they didn’t have one in stock. Turns out, it was the same couch we had seen at Fred Meyer, so we headed up there to see if they had them. Along the way, the couch turned into a couch and recliner.
With the purchase completed at Fred Meyer, it was back to the house to drop everyone off so GrandDad and I could take the van back to pick up the new furniture. We had everything in the living room and assembled in time to try it out before heading to bed.
We are really enjoying the new furniture. Thanks GrandMom and GrandDad!!
