Visiting the GrandKids: Pike’s Place Market

August 21st, 2007 | jchaager | grandparents

As I mentioned early, Karin’s parents where in town on vacation back the first week of July. We started there sightseeing out with a traditional icon of Seattle, Pike’s Place Market.

In nearly 8 years here in Seattle, I had never been to Pike’s Place, so it was a new experience for me as well. We all enjoyed the bright colors, wonderful scent of the flowers, and watching the Fish Throwers at work. GrandDad had a bite to eat for lunch, and the rest of us sampled some of the wonderful fruit available there.

With the morning spent, we all piled into the van for the trip home. A trip on which everyone (except me) fell asleep on. It was quite exhausting for everyone. Ah well, it was only day one. Day two called for a trip up to see Mount Raininer.
