Non Uniform Image Resizing

Here’s an interesting technique that allows for the arbitrary, non-uniform resizing of images. In other word, you can take a normal rectangular image and convert it into a tall thin image without distorting it. The possibilities for such a technique are enormous, including the ability to remove unwanted objects or individuals from images for us in stock photography. These new techniques of editing pictures are developed by Ariel Shamir at The Interdisciplinary Center i Herzliya, Israel.
