An Updated Look
As you have most likely noticed, the appearance of the site has been updated. The previous theme was one that I had found when I was first setting up the new site that I though I liked. But looking at it day after day, it really started to grate on me. It was loud and tacky and not very appealing at all.
So I went hunting for a new theme. After downloading several different themes, I ended up choosing this one. A few customizations later, and this is what I ended up with. A width adjustment here. An updated graphic there. A couple color adjustments. Nothing too major, but enough to make it my own.
The header graphic, BTW, is from a picture that my parents took on their trip down the Oregon coast last summer. They gave me all the pics and told me I could use them however I wanted. I felt that this particular image was ideally suited to the look and feel of the site. I cropped a section out of the original image, resized it appropriately, and then colorized into the appropriate shade of blue to match the theme. I think it turned out very well.
