A Moment of Loss

I received a phone call at 6:30 Friday morning. It was my brother calling to let us know that they had lost one of their pets. It really seems to have hit him hard. They don’t have any children, but they do have a business of ferrets, two dogs, and a cat. And they love them and spoil them as if they were children.

One of their ferrets, Rainbow, hadn’t been doing very well. Thursday night she was in such pain that they decided to take her to the 24 hr emergency vet clinic. Unfortunately, there was nothing the vet could do. They were left with the choice of letting Rainbow suffer, or to release her from her agony. He and his wife made the heart wrenching decision to have Rainbow put down.

To express his grief, he has put up a eulogy page for Rainbow. Take a look and be sure to leave a note for him and his wife. I know they will appreciate the thought. And if you’d like to support their ferret work, check out Ferret Dreams and Crafty Weasels.
