The Daylight Savings change: no savings, no point
From ArsTechnica:
Early results are in, and moving Daylight Savings Time up three weeks appears to have produced no measurable power savings. Lots of headaches for techies and systems administrators, though.
I have mixed feelings about the whole change. On one hand, it was a lot of wasted effort since the purported benefits of moving the start of DST didn’t materialize. On the other hand, it moved the start of DST off the weekend of my anniversary.
But at this point, it’s a done deal. Congress isn’t likely to undo this change.
