Is Stephen Hawking Leaning Towards Creation?

Via Slashdot from a couple weeks ago….

It seems that Stephen Hawking, world renown theoretical physist, has come to the conclusion that the universe was created from nothing. He presented this idea while speaking in front of a sold out audience at the Berkeley Physics Oppenheimer Lecture. This is contrary to popular opinion in the scientific community and poses some interesting questions about where Stephen Hawking is heading in his life.

Will he end up at the inevitable conclusion that not only did the universe spring forth from nothing, but that it came into existence by the will of God? If you’re willing to accept the former, its not that big a stretch to accept the latter.
