Easter ‘06

April 16th, 2006 | jchaager | family

Happy Easter!! I hope everyone is enjoying the time with there family and takes the time to remember the wonderous miracle that occurred on this day nearly 2000 years ago.

We made it to church this morning in our new Easter clothes. It was quite crowded at church. So crowded, in fact, that we ended up sitting in the foyer watching the service on the projector screen on the wall.

After church, it was off to Olive Garden for some lunch. Note for next year: Don’t go to an Italian restraunt while dressed in your nice clothes. They end up speckeled, espcially if your a toddler.

After lunch and naps, it was time to hunt for easter eggs. Oma hid the plastic eggs in the front and back yards. Then we let the kids loose with their baskets. Christopher caught on immediately and started going after the eggs. He didn’t want to put them in the basket though which meant he could only hold two at a time. We eventaully coaxed him into putting one into his basket, freeing up one of his hands to grab another egg.

With the egg hunt over, it was back inside to dye a few eggs. With all the excitement and business yeasterday, we didn’t have time to fit in egg coloring. But what’s wrong with stretching out your holiday fun anyway? :-)
