First Charlie, Now Frances
It was only a few weeks ago that Cameron and Melissa were bunkering down and preparing for Charlie’s onslaught. Now, they’re taping up the windows again in preparation for Frances. Current tracks show it just grazing them over in Sarasota. But we all know what happened during that last hurricane
In Mims where my granny and aunts live, however, the outlook isn’t quite so bright. Granny has boarded up her house for a hurricane for the first time in the 40 years that she’s lived in Florida. Forecast tracks show it taking a very close pass through the area. Maybe my Aunt Chris will finally get her chance to tie herself to a tree in the front yard to experience the full fury of a hurricane. Somehow I doubt she’s up to it though. She was talking about getting plane tickets to Seattle to ride out the storm.
Landfall is being projected for sometime Saturday, so keep them all in your prayers, along with everyone else in Florida.
