The Storm Has Passed
So, hurricane Charley is pushing its way across Florida, leaving a trail of damage and destruction in its wake. Its expected to finish its traversal of the peninsula sometime tonight and head north for the Carolinas.
No word yet from Cameron on how they fared, but I imagine he’ll be reporting in soon. Hopefully everything went well for them and there was no major damage.
Now its time to start calling my aunts and grandmother on Florida’s east coast to see how they fared. They got a glancing blow from Charley, so damage should be minimal. News as it becomes available.

Yea … the posting is coming … but just so people know - we faired well. The storm was intense (Cat. 4 when it hit shore) but was contained in a small area and hit come ashore well south of us. We didn’t even get a heavy wind storm. But … it was better to be prepared for nothing than suffer needlessly.
