First Steps
Bethany has been up on her feet scooting around the house now since before she left for South Carolina. But she’s always had her hand on something to steady herself. Yesterday afternoon, right after Opa and I got home from work, she decided to take her first wobbly steps to go see her “Da-da”.
It was quite a moment, and everyone was cheering for her. Opa grabbed the camera and started shooting pictures while we let her try walking again. Couldn’t get her to do it while she was visiting at work today, but that was probably because Mama and Oma had put sandals on her feet. Barely learned to walk and they’re already making you wear shoes.
Bell doesn’t quite know what to think yet. Just wait till she gets used to walking. She’ll be chasing Bell around the house, and Bell won’t be able to get away.
