ReplayTV Replacement??
With SonicBlue filing for bankruptcy and auctioning off their ReplayTV division, I’m stuck with no clear idea whether my ReplayTV will be usable in another month. But Sony is coming out with a replacement that stands head and shoulders above it. Sony has announced the ultimate consumer electronics device, the NDR-XR1. This device is a Digital Video Recorder with an 80GB hard drive, capable of storing 90 hours of video. Plus, it has a built in DVD burner allowing you to burn anything that you have recorded onto a DVD for permanent storage.
This would be the perfect way to save all the episodes of The Amazing Race. I certainly don’t have room on my ReplayTV to keep them all. Too bad its only available in Japan.
So far, anyways….
