Kung-Log: OS X Blog Manager

April 24th, 2003 | jchaager | technology

I saw a listing on Version Tracker today for Kung-Log, an OS X Blog Manager for Movable Type and other blogging systems. So I grabbed it and decided to try it out. I’ve been using it for about an hour now, and the program seems to be very well laid out. The main window contains your entry editing fields, with your recent entry list and entry settings implemented as slide out drawers. This is nice as you can simply start typing in your entry, and not fool with settings until you’re done.

Kung Log can also save your draft entries locally, allowing you to come back to them later without having to download them from the server. This is a great convenience if you like to write up entries while in the car, on the bus, or at the park.

So far, it seems like a pretty nice program. But we’ll see how it survives in the long term. I’m not known for sticking with programs for very long unless they can become indispensable.
